the joys of teenage-hood.

i feel like alot of kids my age don't like teenagers.
i hear a lot of this: "ugh. i hate high school. i can't wait to graduate. high schoolers are so dumb."

my opinion on the subject changes from day to day.

i'm on the stake youth council.
every sunday except for fast sundays, myself and 23 other young men & women visit each ward's ward conference. it is extremely tiring and sometimes deathly boring.

but i love it.

it is so refreshing to see all sorts of high school aged kids get together for an hour and have spiritual experiences.

it really is the highlight of my weekend.
plus, i get to do it with some super cute priests
and some pretty amazing laurels.

my favorite part of ward conferences is when president shaw sustains the young women class presidencies.
he asks the laurel class president, first and second counselors, and secretary to stand.
he then asks for the members of the laurel class to sustain their presidency.

every single week, without fail, at least two young men raise their right hand to the square to sustain the laurel class presidency.

we get a huge kick out of it &
the young men get embarrassed.
its all good.
